What To Pay Attention To When Children Learn To Skate
Jul 15, 2022
1. Always wear protective equipment
Before skating, have your child wear protective gear. Protective gear not only protects your child from injury, but also allows your child to feel safe, not afraid of falling, and relaxed to learn. Remind your child to lean forward and bend his or her legs while skating. Even if they fall, they have to fall forward so that their tailbone does not fall.
2. wearing correctly
Let your child learn to put on his or her shoes by themselves at the beginning. The laces of the front few grommets can be tied loosely, and the back laces should be tied tightly so that the ankle does not wobble in the shoe. Wear long-sleeved clothes and gloves when sliding to avoid cutting the skin when falling. But the clothes should not be too thick and tight, which is not conducive to sliding.
3. the correct standing posture
Feet slightly apart, about the same width as the shoulders, toes slightly turned outward, forming a small "eight", legs slightly bent, upper body slightly forward, eyes forward. The weight of the body should be pressed smoothly on the blade through the two feet, and the ankle joints should not fall in or out.
4. Practice more
After putting on your skates, stand on the field, try to keep your body balanced, always skate in one counterclockwise direction, do not go too fast, and do not chase and tease. If you have the conditions, you can ask a coach to guide you. Each time you practice, you should rest for 2 to 3 minutes every 10 to 15 minutes. When you are tired, you should take off your skates and relax the muscles in your calves and feet
