How To Design An Inline Skate Frame Or A Roller Skate Plate

Either the inline skating frame or quad skate plate is an important part of the skates. The weight, structure, and shape of skating frames/plates directly affect the stability, flexibility and durability of skates. How to design a good skate base?

1.Choose Material

Before designing the skating frames, we need to consider what materials are used to make them. The most common materials are aluminum alloy, magnesium alloy, carbon fiber, nylon, UHMW, etc.

The choice of appropriate materials should combine the brand concept with the skate’s positioning.

2. Make Design

According to the skate’s type, size, and shape, combined with the material characteristics of the skate boots to make the design. Designers will make designs of the skating frame on software like SolidWorks, 3Ds Max, etc. Often they may draw several designs for the brand to choose from and decide which design to use.

3. Confirm Design

After discussion with the client, the most suitable design will be selected. Then they send it to the manufacturer to evaluate the mold fee and quotes.
