Classification Of Ice Skates

Ice skates are installed in the bottom of the steel knife, ice skates contact melted into water, so that the friction between the skates and ice drop lower, more conducive to sliding skates.

According to the structure and sports characteristics, the skates can be roughly divided into three categories: speed skating skates, pattern skates and ice hockey skates. Speed skating ice skates

It can be divided into large track speed skating skates and short track speed skating skates. Large track speed skating skates have long blade body, small blade arc, large blade contact area and large turning radius, which are suitable for long distance skating on large track. Short track speed skating skates have short body, large blade radian, relatively small contact area with ice surface and small turning radius. It is suitable for short track (500m ~ 1000m) sliding. The thickness of blade body is 1.4±0.1mm and the hardness is HRC56 ~ 60.

Figure skate

According to the ice action and the shape of the blade and the blade body, it can be divided into free pattern skate, prescribed pattern skate, and ice dance pattern skate. Figure skating is mainly based on jumping and rotating steps, so it is different from other skates in the front teeth, which allow the last tooth to touch the ice when the skates are tilted forward 10 degrees. The blade is thicker, the general skate blade is not less than 3.5mm, the advanced skate blade is not less than 3.8mm, the hardness is HRC56 ~ 60, the knife body is short, the blade radian is large.

Ice hockey skate

It is divided into goalie ice hockey knife and player ice hockey knife. Because players often need to stop and turn in sports, the knife body needs high strength. The thickness of the blade is 2.8±0.1mm, in the shape of an arc, and the straight part in the middle cannot be less than 80mm.
