Aluminum extrusion is a technology used to transform aluminum alloys into objects with well-defined cross-sectional profiles for a wide range of applications. The extrusion process takes full advantage of the unique combination of physical properties of aluminum. Aluminum's ductility makes it easy to machine and cast, while its density and stiffness are one-third that of steel, resulting in a product with strength and stability, especially when alloyed with other metals.
